That new coolant hose I bought failed after just 2 months

Picked up a silicone hose from an online shop back in March to replace a cracked one on my old F-150. It split right down the middle last Tuesday, dumping antifreeze all over the driveway. Has anyone else had these aftermarket hoses fall apart way faster than the stock rubber ones?

Jumped on the silicone bandwagon myself a few years back and learned the hard way that quality varies a ton with those. It seems like a lot of stuff now is made to look good but not to last, you know?

Ugh, the worst is when it gets that weird sticky film after a few months. Like it just starts degrading on your counter and you can't even scrub it off no matter how hard you try. I bought a fancy spatula set that looked amazing in the pictures but the handles literally started crumbing after six months. It's such a gamble with silicone now because the cheap stuff feels like rubber cement and the expensive stuff still finds a way to disappoint you. Type of thing where you almost want to go back to old school metal tools just so you know what you're getting.
