I finally saw how morning light fixed my sleep problems.

I used to have trouble falling asleep every night. My cousin mentioned that getting sunlight early can help set your body clock. I started going outside for just ten minutes after waking up. After a few days, I was falling asleep faster and waking up easier. Have you tried anything like this?

Figured sunlight had little to do with sleep. Your post changed my view. Tried it myself and now I rest better.

Glad it worked for you, that "rest better" part is huge. Most people don't realize morning light sets your internal clock for the whole day. The key is to get it within the first hour of waking, even on cloudy days. I try for at least 15 minutes, just having coffee by a window. Makes the night shift feel a bit less upside down sometimes too. What time do you usually get your light?

You mentioned the night shift. Does that mean the morning light trick still works if your "morning" is actually 4 PM? Or does the effect get weaker when it's not real morning light?
