My downstairs neighbor's daily drum practice kills my focus during home workouts
Honestly, I've been trying to stick to my morning routine but it's a mess. Tbh, the banging starts right when I'm about to do my burpees. Ngl, yesterday I had to cut my session short because I couldn't hear my own music. It's like clockwork, every day at 8 AM. I even talked to them but they just said it's their creative time. Now I'm stuck working out late at night when I'm tired. This whole thing is really throwing off my progress.

It's crazy how much of city life is just negotiating other people's noise, right? We all end up bending our own schedules because someone else's hobby or job or kid has a claim on the quiet. You're not just fighting drums, you're fighting the whole idea that your own home isn't really your own space to control. Doesn't it feel like we're all just slowly getting worn down by a thousand tiny compromises like this?

Three apartments ago, my upstairs neighbor had 6 am jump rope sessions, and @nathanwalker sounds like he gets it. The whole thing just makes you feel worn out before the day even starts.

My last apartment had walls so thin I knew my neighbor's 5:30 am alarm tone by heart. You end up building your whole life around avoiding these little noise invasions until you're just tired all the time. It really is a grind that never lets up.
