inA remote job taught me to always carry spare cable
That 18 mile trip up to the fire lookout with zero cell service taught me a hard lesson. My kit now has three times the basic RG6, but I also keep a short run of RG59 and a bag of every connector type known to man. The weirdest thing I won't leave without is a 25-foot roll of old school twin-lead TV wire; it once saved a job when a buried cable was chewed through and it was all the hardware store had.

inMy downstairs neighbor's daily drum practice kills my focus during home workouts
It's crazy how much of city life is just negotiating other people's noise, right? We all end up bending our own schedules because someone else's hobby or job or kid has a claim on the quiet. You're not just fighting drums, you're fighting the whole idea that your own home isn't really your own space to control. Doesn't it feel like we're all just slowly getting worn down by a thousand tiny compromises like this?
