TIL at the Verizon store in Toledo that my Pixel 6a actually charges faster with a cheap Anker brick than the Google one I paid $35 for.
The sales guy pulled out a multimeter and showed me the wattage difference right there on the counter, has anyone else tested their chargers and found a random brick works way better than the name brand one?

Wait, did you check if your Google charger is actually a Pixel 6a compatible one? I had the same problem with my 6a where the official Google charger was giving me like 12 watts max and it turned out to be the older 18W model that doesn't do PPS properly. Honestly, I switched to an Anker Nano II 30W brick and it charges my 6a way faster than that Google one ever did, probably because the Anker just handles the adaptive charging better. Ngl, phone companies are terrible at making good chargers compared to the third party guys who actually test their stuff with real multimeters.

My buddy Mark actually had the exact same issue with his 6a back in January brian_coleman. He bought a Google 30W charger from the official store, plugged it in, and was only getting like 10W according to his USB meter. He ended up returning it and grabbing a Spigen 30W brick off Amazon, and now his phone charges from 20% to full in about an hour and fifteen minutes. It's wild how the official stuff just doesn't perform as well as the third party options sometimes.
