inAppreciation post: My character sketches finally look alive
Thirty second gestures are a game changer... I forced myself to do a hundred of them last month just focusing on the line of action in the spine. My figures went from mannequins to having real weight and motion. It's crazy how such a simple, boring exercise can unlock everything else.

inMy brother-in-law said to use a 2x4 as a straight edge for my tile saw, and it actually worked
@johnb95 that's a perfect example of how overthinking can mess up a simple job. I've seen guys waste hours looking for a tool when a scrap piece would do the trick. Getting too fancy can sometimes be the real hack move.

inShowerthought: A chat with an old timer about grease guns
Lost for the sake of speed" seems a bit heavy. It's just grease. The cartridges are cleaner and you know the grease hasn't been sitting open collecting dirt for a month. That old bucket method sounds like a mess waiting to happen.

inQuestion about a Coleman lantern from the 90s I just cleaned up
Remember my buddy had that exact problem with his old lantern. He started adding just a tiny pinch of salt to the fuel tank before filling it, said it made a huge difference. The globe stayed way cleaner, he only had to wipe it down maybe once a season. Sounded like an old wives' tale but it actually worked for him.

inI was spraying my basket with oil for months until my brother in Phoenix asked why my fries were soggy
My grandma in Tucson always sprays her basket and gets perfect crispy fries. Maybe it's the type of oil or how much you're using. Could be you just need a hotter air fryer temperature to counter the extra moisture.
