Read the manual on my 2012 Subaru and it changed how I see those weird radio signals
Everyone talks about EVP or ghost radio picking up voices from the dead. But I found in the owner's manual that the factory radio can randomly pick up CB chatter or taxi dispatch on certain frequencies, especially near truck stops. I caught a clear "10-4, drop the trailer" last week near a Love's and I'm pretty sure it's just bleedover. Has anyone else checked their manual for this or am I way off?

Man that's wild but it makes total sense... I've noticed this kind of stuff happening everywhere once you start looking. Like how a train horn will echo off buildings and sound like something totally different depending where you stand.

Yeah the train horn thing is a perfect example. Sound bounces off different surfaces at different angles and the way it reaches your ears changes completely depending on where you're standing. I've noticed the same thing with car alarms in parking garages, the sound gets all warped and stretched out depending on what floor you're on. It's like your brain is trying to make sense of something that doesn't quite fit the normal pattern so it fills in the gaps with what it thinks you should be hearing. Kind of creepy once you realize how easily your own senses can trick you.
