Swapped my old stereo for a bluetooth adapter and the weird sounds stopped

For months my 2012 Civic would randomly play static bursts through the speakers at night, especially around 2 AM. I tried grounding the antenna and checking the wiring but nothing helped. Then I pulled out the factory CD player and put in a $25 Anker bluetooth receiver from Best Buy on 12th Street. The static vanished completely, so I think the old unit was picking up radio interference or something... has anyone else had electronics acting haunted like that?

2012 Civics are known for a bad ground in the radio harness that can cause all sorts of weird electrical noise once the alternator load changes at night with your headlights on. A $25 Anker is basically a clean power source bypassing that whole mess, so it makes sense the static stopped. Might be worth checking the factory ground wire just to keep other electronics from acting up later though.

Is it really that deep though? I had a 2012 Civic for years and never once had any electrical problems with the stereo or anything else.
