For years, I only picked audio shows from the main pages on streaming sites because it seemed easy and safe. Everyone else was listening to them, so I figured they had to be good. But over time, I noticed a lot of the talk felt repetitive and bland. Then, I found a fan forum where people shared passion projects from small creators. I tried one out during a long commute, and it was so engaging and real! Now, I spend time in those communities to get tips from other listeners. It feels like hunting for secret treasures instead of grabbing what's handed to me. Looking back, I was missing out on so many unique voices by just going with the flow!
