Traded my barely used treadmill for a mystery box of gear, and it actually worked out

This guy on Rigidtalk told me to just trust the trade even though the box looked sketchy, and I ended up with a $300 squat rack and a rusty but functional rowing machine. Did anyone else ever take a gamble on a blind trade and come out ahead?

Buddy of mine had an old Concept 2 in his garage that looked like it got dragged out of a lake. Rust spots all over the chain and the handle was peeling grip tape everywhere. He left it like that for three years until one day he finally cleaned it up and found out it still pulled smooth as butter. Thing looked rough but never let him down.
