inBack in 2012, my manager at the coffee shop gave me a choice: stay on the morning rush or switch to the new evening book club shift.
Yeah, it's funny how often we get those small choices that end up shaping things. Like picking the quiet closing shift at a store to avoid the chaos, or choosing the longer commute with less traffic. You take the path that seems easier right then, but it changes who you meet and what your normal day looks like. That book club shift probably led to a whole different set of regulars and stories than the morning rush ever would. Makes you wonder about all the little forks in the road we don't even notice, right?

inAm I the only one who thinks a simple door replacement should take more than a weekend?
Feel your pain on a deep level. Had a similar thing happen with a window last fall. Measured twice, ordered once, and the rough opening was still off by a full inch. Spent a whole day chipping out old brick to make it fit, only to find the original framing was totally rotten. That quick swap cost me three days and a lot of cussing.
