Sent a company-wide email to 500 people with a typo in the CEO's name

Last Tuesday at 3pm I hit send on our quarterly update. I spelled "Anderson" as "Andersen" in the subject line. My boss noticed 4 minutes later. I had to send a follow-up with a joke about autocorrect and my own embarrassment. Took me 30 minutes to collect my thoughts before writing the apology. Nobody replied to the correction except the CEO who just said "lol it's fine." Has anyone else dealt with a typo that made you want to crawl into a hole?

lol it's fine" is basically the corporate equivalent of "thanks I hate it." At least your CEO has a sense of humor about it, mine would probably make us all do sensitivity training on spelling. The worst part is having to explain the joke in the follow-up email like "haha autocorrect got me AGAIN" when everyone knows you just typed too fast. Four minutes is actually impressive though, your boss must have been refreshing that inbox like it owed them money.

Idk what it is about corporate emails but the "lol" always feels more defensive than funny.
