Small win: my $25 safety razor paid for itself in 6 months

I bought a basic metal safety razor for $25 back in March, and I just realized I haven't bought any disposable razors or cartridges since. The blades cost like 10 cents each and last a week. Has anyone else made the switch and noticed a big drop in bathroom trash?

Wait, is the amount of bathroom trash really that big a deal to most people? I get saving money but it's like a few plastic handles and some cardboard boxes every few months.

Wait, do people ever think about the smell though? All that damp, used stuff sitting in a trash can for days, especially if you live somewhere humid. It's not just the landfill space, it's the stank in your own bathroom.
