Showerthought: I miss when coffee was about the chat, not the chart.
Everyone now acts like you need a lab setup to enjoy coffee, but I disagree. Back in my family, we had one beat-up percolator that made strong, bitter coffee. We didn't care about light roast or tasting notes. The point was sitting together after dinner, talking about our day. Now, it's all about measuring grams and water temperature before anyone even says hello. I get that the coffee tastes cleaner now, but we lost the simple joy of just sharing a pot. Honestly, I'd rather have that old community feel than a perfectly balanced cup any day.
