@john_murphy that blog post makes a lot of sense actually. I think the 50 page trick works because it stops you from building up a whole case in your head before hearing what others picked up. It's like going into the club meeting with just your first impressions instead of a thesis.

Has anyone tried using a different kind of knife with it... like a stainless steel one instead of the cheap blue ones? I swear the stainless steel is smoother and the mud doesn't stick nearly as bad. I also notice a huge difference if the mud is cold out of the bucket, I'll let it sit for an hour at room temp and it flows way better. I think a lot of the frustration comes from not treating it like a different product entirely, because you can't use the same habits with it.
