Just counted my unfinished drafts and it hit 50

I was cleaning up my writing folder yesterday. I decided to finally count all the half-finished stories and blog posts. I was sure it was maybe 20. The number was 50. Fifty different files, all just sitting there. Some are just a title and a sentence. Others are a few pages in. It made me feel sick. I started most of them over a year ago. I keep telling myself I'll get back to them. Seeing that number made it real. It's not just a few ideas, it's a huge pile of work I walked away from. How do you even start to tackle a mountain that big?

Oh man, that number hits hard. I had the same panic last year. What worked for me was picking just three files, the ones I still felt a spark for, and moving everything else into a folder called "old ideas." It made the pile feel way smaller. Which one of those fifty still gets you excited when you read it?

Ugh, I feel this so much. Found 27 half-finished knitting patterns last month. @jenny_gonzalez has the right idea, that separate folder trick is key. I picked my two favorites that I could actually finish in a weekend. The rest are in a folder I named "maybe later.
