One piece of feedback that made me stop rushing assembly projects
A buddy looked at a bookshelf I built and said 'you're speedrunning Ikea instructions like it's a race nobody wins.' He was right. I was always trying to beat my own time and ended up with crooked shelves. Now I take a breather between each step and actually check my work. Has anyone else gotten a simple comment that changed your whole process?

Starting with the square before cutting lets you catch issues early. Respectfully, checking after the cut just means you know exactly how bad you messed up.

Started checking my miters with a square AFTER cutting instead of before and saved myself so much frustration.
