Hot take: I was patching drywall with too much mud for 15 years

A guy at the Ace on Juan Tabo watched me load up and said "you're making frosting, not patching," and he was right, thin coats go way faster. Anybody got a brand of lightweight mud they actually like for old ABQ adobe walls?
