I just hit 100 hours on my new orbital sander and it made me think

I bought this sander for a big floor refinishing job at my place over near Montgomery and San Mateo last year. I figured I'd use it for that one project and maybe some small stuff later. But I checked the hour counter on it yesterday and it's already at 100 hours. I've used it on doors, window frames, a whole deck, and even some old furniture I found. It's wild how one tool can become the center of so many fixes around the house. I guess I just keep finding more things that need a smooth finish. Has anyone else had a tool they bought for one job that just kept getting used way more than they planned?

Funny how that happens. My cordless drill was supposed to be for quick fixes, but now I grab it for everything. It just becomes the first tool you reach for.

Wait, you only got a cordless drill for quick fixes? Mine came with two batteries and I still run out of power halfway through a project. I started using it to stir paint, open cans, and even mix a meatloaf once. My regular screwdriver is just collecting dust in the drawer now.
