My sprinkler valve popped off at 6am and I fought it with a butter knife in my bathrobe
Last Tuesday I went out to the Albuquerque place to water the yard before work and heard a hiss, so I opened the green valve box by the driveway and the whole top of the anti-siphon valve shot off like a bottle rocket, spraying water 8 feet straight up over the sidewalk. I panicked, killed the main at the curb, then spent 20 minutes laying in wet mulch trying to unscrew the bonnet with nothing but a butter knife and one of those tiny dog nail clippers from my grooming bag. Does anyone know if the backflow rebuild kit at the big box on Juan Tabo is worth it, or should I just pay a guy?
