Saw a ratty old adobe in the South Valley with a brand new metal roof

I was driving down Isleta last week and noticed this beat up place with a shiny new standing seam roof, looked out of place lol. Anybody know how much that kind of job runs for a small house? Thinking about doing mine but not sure if it's worth the money.

Thing is a brand new roof on a crumbling adobe is like putting lipstick on a pig, it's just gonna collapse or rot out anyway if the walls aren't solid. Honestly I'd be more worried about what kind of foundation and dirt you've got under there before dropping money on metal, that's the real gamble. Just saying, pretty sure you can spend all that cash and still have a leaky mess if the structure's shot.

Yeah really, @verac40 you gotta wonder if that fancy roof is just hiding bigger problems underneath.
