It took me 3 months to figure out my friend was ghosting me, not just busy

I kept texting my old college buddy six times with no reply and thought she was overwhelmed with her new job in Austin. Then I saw her Instagram stories hanging out with other people and realized she just didn't want to talk to me anymore. Has anyone else wasted months waiting on a friend who was already checked out without saying anything?
