My friend's 'let's just see what happens' plan versus my calendar invite for coffee
We both wanted to hang out, but for 2 months her vague texts like 'we should meet up soon!' led nowhere. Last Tuesday I sent a Google Calendar invite for 3pm this Saturday at The Daily Grind cafe. We actually met. Having a specific time and place made all the difference. What's your go-to move for turning a maybe into a real plan?

Your calendar invite trick is the only way I get anything done with my friends too.

Right? Why are we all like this now? It feels so formal to send a calendar invite to a friend for coffee. But if it's not on the calendar, it just doesn't happen. We all have good intentions but our time is just too scattered. I refuse to play phone tag for two weeks to plan one dinner.
