Found out my landlord can legally enter without 24 hours notice in my state
I was looking up tenant rights after my super just walked in on Saturday morning (while I was still in my PJs) and found out Oregon doesn't require any notice for maintenance emergencies. Turns out a clogged toilet on the third floor counts as an emergency to them. How do you guys deal with this kind of surprise entry when it's technically legal?

Wait a clogged toilet counts as a maintenance emergency? That's insane. I mean I get it if there's like a gas leak or a fire but a plunger situation? Landlords really stretch the definition of emergency just to barge in whenever they feel like it I swear. Your super probably just wanted to get the job done fast without having to schedule around you but still feels like a total violation of privacy especially on a Saturday morning.

Oh man, that's the thing though - like where's the actual line for what's a "real" emergency? Is it just whatever gets the landlord out of having to give proper notice?
