I forgot to pay my internet bill for 4 months straight
Just discovered I had autopay set to a closed debit card and Comcast never even sent me a warning. Got hit with a $320 reconnect fee yesterday because I missed 4 months of bills completely.

Wow, that's rough. But I gotta call out something - Comcast definitely sent you warnings. They have to by law in most states before they disconnect you. I've had my power cut before and ignored all the letters, so I know how it goes. Those notices might have gone to your spam folder or got tossed with junk mail. That reconnect fee is brutal, but you probably missed multiple emails and maybe even a text alert before they pulled the plug.
