My AI assistant froze during a live demo in Austin

Was showing a new voice model at a tech meetup last Tuesday. The demo bot just stopped responding mid-sentence. Total silence for like 10 seconds. I had to quickly switch to a backup script I wrote on my phone. Has anyone else had a public demo fail and how did you recover?

Eh, it's just a demo.

Wait, you had to pull up a backup script ON YOUR PHONE? That's some quick thinking, but man, the pressure must have been insane. I would have totally panicked. Ten seconds of dead silence in front of a crowd feels like an hour. Did people start coughing or looking at their phones?

No way, a backup script on your PHONE? That's next level. I'm just picturing you fumbling with the tiny screen while everyone stares. My hands get sweaty just ordering coffee in a line. You must have been typing so fast your thumbs blurred. Honestly, that's the most heroic tech move I've heard all week.
