Tried using AI to write my HVAC service reports and it backfired hard

I thought I'd save time by feeding GPT my notes from three service calls last Wednesday. It spit out clean reports but used terms like 'ambient thermal differential' and 'refrigerant cycling optimization'. My regulars would laugh me out of the house if I talked like that. Spent more time rewriting than just typing it myself. Anyone else have AI make your work sound like a robot's poetry project?

That "ambient thermal differential" line is a dead giveaway every time... I learned the hard way you gotta set up a custom vocabulary list in the AI with your own plain terms like temp difference and normal cycling. Way faster to tweak those outputs than to fight with the robotic language after it's written.

Wait, have you actually gotten that to work without it slipping back? I tried the vocabulary list thing once but the AI kept reverting to "thermal transfer coefficient" instead of just "heat loss" like I told it to. Ended up just writing a whole set of training examples in the custom instructions with sentences like "when the temperature outside changes quickly, the system adjusts" instead of "when rapid ambient temperature fluctuations are detected." That seemed to stick better because it learned the pattern instead of just swapping out keywords. Still have to check it every time though, especially on longer outputs where it starts getting fancy again.
