Vent: My AI meeting notes butchered a client's name 6 times
Trusted an AI transcription tool for Tuesday's session notes with a new client, Marisol. Out of 40 minutes, it wrote Marisol as 'Mary Sol' three times and then 'Marisol?' with a question mark like it wasn't sure. I spent an hour fixing timestamps and quotes before sending her the recap. These tools are hyped as time savers, but I still have to check every single line. Has anyone found a transcription service that actually handles uncommon names without constant babysitting?

I had the same thing happen with a client named Priya, the tool kept writing "Preeya" and once even "Maria" for no reason. What finally worked for me was building a little name list in the tool's settings before the call, most of them let you add custom words or a glossary. It's not perfect but it cut my cleanup time way down since it stops guessing at the weird spellings. I still skim the names first before sending anything out though, that part never goes away.
