Found a 5 minute trick to pull my lower cowl pins without skinning knuckles
Kept scraping my hands on the ignition leads every 100 hour on the 172 until a guy in Wichita showed me to use a long reach hose pick with a 90 degree tip instead of needlenose pliers. What are you all using for tight cowl pin spots?

Every 100 hour? Man thats oil change interval stuff, not exactly a daily battle. A little scrape on the knuckles seems like a fair trade for not buying some special tool.
