Just walked off my job at the call center after a 47-minute rant

I worked at a phone support center in Tulsa for 11 months, and last Tuesday was my breaking point. A customer named Karen spent 47 minutes yelling at me because her internet was down, even though she kept unplugging the modem every time I asked her to check it. My supervisor, Dave, told me to "just let her vent" even after she called me a useless idiot. I hung up, took off my headset, and walked out without saying a word to anyone. HR called me later asking if I wanted to come back, but I said no. Am I crazy for quitting over one bad call, or does anyone else have a day that just broke them completely?
