Noticed a big shift in how we handle keypad wiring on new builds.
Five years back, I was running 22/4 to every single keypad location, no matter what, which took forever. Now with most panels using wireless keypad options or PoE, I just pull a single CAT6 to the main panel location and call it good. When did you guys make the switch and did it cut your install time as much as it did mine?

Seriously, is all that extra wire from before even a big deal?

Remember that time my uncle tried to fix his own lamp? He left like a FOOT of extra cord just coiled up behind the table. Looked so messy and my aunt tripped on it like three times. Sometimes that extra stuff IS a big deal because it just gets in the way later.
