Can we talk about the shift in how people argue about filler episodes?
A few years back, the main debate was just 'skip them' versus 'watch for character moments'. Now, after the whole 'One Pace' edit for One Piece, I'm seeing way more technical arguments about pacing and adaptation philosophy. Has the conversation actually gotten better, or just more nitpicky?

My buddy got into a huge fight online last week about this exact thing. He was trying to explain why he liked a slower episode of a show, and someone linked a whole chart about scene timing. The talk went from "this moment felt real" to "the source material panel count proves my point." Feels like we swapped one kind of gatekeeping for another, you know?

So when it's all charts and numbers like @aaronf40 said, do we lose the point of talking about if a show is actually good to watch?
