Just had the worst week for anime watching ever and it was my own fault

I finally decided to binge that 90 episode mecha series I've been putting off for like 2 years. Got through 12 episodes in 3 days then realized I'd been watching the wrong show the whole time. There's two series with almost the same name and I picked the one nobody likes. Now I gotta start over and all my enthusiasm is gone. Anyone else ever waste time on the wrong anime just because of a confusing title?

Man that sucks lol I once watched an entire season of a show before realizing it was a sequel to something.

One time I watched ten episodes of a cooking anime before realizing it wasn't about food at all.
