Just had the worst week for anime watching ever and it was my own fault

I finally decided to binge that 90 episode mecha series I've been putting off for like 2 years. Got through 12 episodes in 3 days then realized I'd been watching the wrong show the whole time. There's two series with almost the same name and I picked the one nobody likes. Now I gotta start over and all my enthusiasm is gone. Anyone else ever waste time on the wrong anime just because of a confusing title?

wait wait wait @victor_davis17 this is super interesting because i bet that cooking anime was actually about something else entirely and you just got baited by the food porn lol. like i swear shows do that on purpose now, they show all these shots of food being made but the actual plot is about like a secret spy operation or some weird romance drama. reminds me of how people used to think Naruto was just about ninjas throwing stars but it ended up being about war and trauma. you probably watched something with a lot of closeups of knives and chopping boards but it was actually about like rival chefs starting a gang war or something. honestly happens to the best of us.
