Picked the 90 episode shonen over the 12 episode one, and my free trial ended at episode 3
Last Friday I sat down with two tabs open on Crunchyroll, one was a 90 episode adventure show and the other was a 12 episode drama everyone keeps saying is a masterpiece. I went with the long one since I had a free weekend, and by Sunday night I was only on episode 3 and the trial was gone. The worst part is I can't even remember the names of the two side characters who show up in episode 2, so now I'm scared to restart when I actually pay. Has anyone else picked the long show first and regretted how slow it moves in the first arc? Or should I just bail and go watch the 12 episode one?

Bruh, you fumbled the bag on a trial that was right there waiting for you. Picking the 90 episode show was already a choice, but blowing the whole free trial on three episodes of what's basically the tutorial arc is next level pain. Those two side characters in episode 2 don't even matter yet anyway, half of them die or get forgotten by episode 20 in most of these shows. Honestly at this point just watch the 12 episode one first so you get a full story in a weekend, then crawl through the long one when you're actually paying.
