Unpopular opinion: the guy who spoiled One Piece for me at a library in Mesa actually did me a favor
I was at the Mesa public library about two years ago grabbing some manga when this dude saw my volume 12 of One Piece and just blurted out that Ace dies. I was so mad I put the book down and walked out, didn't touch the series for like six months. But then I picked it back up and realized I was reading it way too fast just to catch up to everyone instead of actually enjoying it. Getting spoiled slowed me down and now I catch stuff I would've missed completely on a first read. Did anyone else get something spoiled and end up weirdly okay with it later?
