Was told my anime takes were too basic, so I changed how I watch
A guy in a Discord server called me out last month after I said I thought Attack on Titan was the greatest anime ever. He said I wasn't digging deep enough and only watched mainstream stuff. So I asked him for a list of five shows I'd never heard of, like Haibane Renmei and Kaiba. I watched all of them over two weeks, and honestly, some were slow but others really clicked with me. Now I try to watch one obscure or older series for every new popular one I pick up. Has anyone else had a random comment from a stranger totally shift their watching habits?

Just wait until someone tells you your deep cuts are too deep.

Ha, that's actually a pretty cool way to handle getting called out. Most people would just get defensive, but you turned it into a real habit. I might try that ratio thing myself, keeps things fresh without going full snob.
