My boss accidentally sent a company-wide email with salary info last Tuesday
Someone in HR was supposed to send a reminder about benefits enrollment but they attached the wrong spreadsheet. For about 20 minutes everyone could see what everyone else makes. I found out the guy who sits next to me makes $12k more than I do for the same role. Nobody said a word about it in the office but I saw like 6 people update their LinkedIn profiles that same evening. Has anyone else had a salary leak happen at their job?

Yeah I read that same thing happened at a Target distribution center last year. Somebody in HR accidentally sent the wage file to the whole warehouse instead of just management. Word got around fast and like seven people walked out that same week.

My buddy had this happen at a large retail chain he worked at. Someone in payroll accidentally CC'd the whole store instead of BCC'ing the pay stubs one Friday. He found out the new kid stocking shelves was making the same as him even though he'd been there three years. The worst part was the store manager didn't even address it, just pretended like nothing happened. Three people quit within the next two weeks, including my buddy.
