Overheard a senior dev say 'the best code is the code you never write' in a meeting
I was grabbing coffee during a planning call yesterday and heard one of our lead developers say that exact phrase. They were arguing against adding a whole new feature module, saying we could solve the user's problem with a simple config change to an existing system. It made me stop and think about all the times I've over-engineered a solution just to feel productive. Has anyone else had a moment like that, where a simple comment completely shifted how you approach your work?

My old boss in Austin said that every single week.
