Realized my coworker's way of handling client emails is way better than mine

I used to reply to every question right away, thinking fast responses looked good. But this guy I sit next to started waiting until noon to batch reply to everything at once. After 3 weeks of watching him get less stressed and still keep clients happy, I tried it myself. Now I save about 45 minutes a day and my replies are actually more helpful since I’m not rushing. Has anyone else found a simple work habit that cut your stress way down?

Never thought about batching replies like that, gonna try it with my volunteer emails.

Batching replies changed my whole email game honestly. I used to answer every single one as they came in and it took forever, I'd get sidetracked and forget half of them. Now I set aside Tuesday and Thursday afternoons, block out an hour, and just power through them all at once. For my volunteer stuff with the neighborhood cleanup group, I keep a little notepad nearby to jot down quick responses while I'm waiting on stuff, then type them all out later. It cuts the stress way down and I actually reply faster in the long run.
