That one night the elderly gentleman on 3 West grabbed my hand and said 'you're the only one who slows down for me'
I still think about Mr. Chen sometimes, how he'd wait until 3am to buzz for water or a blanket, and that night he told me his wife used to rub his feet before bed so I did it for him, and he just cried a little and thanked me like I'd given him something huge... has anyone else had a patient or client say something simple that completely stopped you in your tracks?

Wait, you actually rubbed a patient's feet? That's... honestly I think I'd break down too if someone did that for me at 3am. That's a whole different level of kindness, man.
