The janitor at my office in Austin told me to always wipe down the copier before I leave

She said people will blame you for the paper jams even if you didn't cause them, so just clean it first and save the headache - has anyone else had a coworker pin something on you like that?

Oh no, that is such a classic office move. I had a supervisor once who would blame me for messing up the supply closet every single week, then I caught her on camera doing it herself. It's exhausting trying to prove you didn't do something when someone is already pointing fingers. Good on that janitor for giving you a heads up, that kind of wisdom saves so much stress.

and @abbyd36 that supply closet thing reminds me of a coworker I had who swore up and down someone was stealing his lunch every day, but it turned out he kept forgetting it in his car. we actually had a whole office meeting about "lunch theft" until he walked in with his bag one day and everyone just stared at him. its funny how people will point fingers before they even check their own facts, kind of like your supervisor and that closet mess.
