Trick for getting callbacks from HR - list the job number first in your subject line

I was applying for a warehouse supervisor role at a place in Phoenix and getting zero replies for weeks. Then I read somewhere that HR gets bombarded with emails, so I started putting the specific job requisition number right at the start of my email subject line. After I did that, I got a callback within 3 days for the same job I applied to before. Has anyone else tried something like this that actually got a faster response?

Oh wow, yeah that's a solid trick! I remember my cousin tried something similar when he was applying for a tech support gig in Denver. He started putting the job ID in the subject line and then added a little "Application for [Job ID] - [Name]" thing. Sarah_brown, I think you'd be surprised how much that tiny change matters but honestly it's not even just HR, like I once got a faster response from a customer service bot because I put the ticket number in the subject line haha. It's wild how little things like that cut through the noise. But yeah, your warehouse job callback might just be luck too, but I'd stick with it.

Oh gosh, I mean I don't know, that could just be a coincidence, right? Maybe they finally got around to looking at your resume and the subject line had nothing to do with it.
