Why does nobody talk about the way secret shoppers are treated by store managers?
I started secret shopping 4 months ago to make some extra cash. Last week I did a routine check at a grocery chain in Austin, and the store manager cornered me in the back aisle. He said he knew who I was and that my report would get him fired even though I just followed the checklist. It's crazy how some managers take it personally instead of using the feedback. Has anyone else dealt with a manager who got hostile during a shop?

I had a manager at a Target in San Antonio follow me to my car once. I just stayed calm and said I was just grabbing a few things, then I reported the incident to the company and they actually reassigned me to a different store. It really helped having them on my side.
