My upstairs neighbor makes 47 steps between their door and the kitchen table
I timed it one night when I couldn't sleep. Counted exactly 47 creaky floorboard steps every time they go from their front door to the kitchen table, which is about 15 times an evening. Has anyone else memorized their neighbor's daily walking routes from the sound patterns alone?

Counting footsteps is kind of a weird way to pass the time, but I get it when you can't sleep and your brain fixates on stuff. 47 steps is a lot though, that's basically a whole hallway. Must be a long walk from their door to that table.

My buddy Mike once counted 62 steps from his kitchen to the bathroom in the dark, tripped on a dog toy at 61, and never counted again. @xena_allen, 47 steps sounds like a long trek, did they mention if the table had any snacks on it?
