Shoutout to the foam earplugs, not the $40 noise machine
My upstairs neighbor in 3C has been stomping around since February and I finally snapped. I bought a $40 white noise machine first because everyone on here swears by them, but it just made a constant hum that I could still hear the stomping through. Then I grabbed a $6 pack of foam earplugs from the drugstore and I have slept through the last 4 nights in a row, which has not happened since winter. Is there anything that actually works on the stomping itself, or do I just live with the earplugs forever?
You said you "finally snapped" but honestly, how bad is stomping that a cheap pack of earplugs fixes it in one trip to the drugstore? Seems like the real problem got solved for six bucks, so calling it a crisis feels like a stretch. Maybe 3C just walks heavy and it took you until February to notice.
