The spin switch trick that saved me a 2 hour rewire
Found out the hard way that a washer's lid lock stays engaged if you test the spin switch with the lid open, so now I always jump the door sensor first, has anyone else fried a board that way?
Man, you're lucky you didn't zap the whole control board. But here's my question: how many times did you test it before you figured out the lid sensor was the issue? Because I've seen guys run the same test three or four times and just assume the switch is bad, not the interlock. That's the part that gets me, the repeated attempts on a live board when the machine is telling you something else is off. Did you catch it on the first pop or after a few resets?
