Rant: The climbing spike haters finally got to me after that oak removal
I always ran spikes on removals, no big deal, but last month a homeowner in Portland watched me spike a 60 foot oak we were taking down anyway and went on a whole rant about tree cruelty. It made me rethink things, so I tried a rope-only take down on the next removal and honestly, the extra time was worth the peace of mind. Has anyone else switched methods because of a client's comment?

Honestly man, that homeowner's comment would've stuck with me too. It's wild how one tiny remark can totally change how you look at your own work, but good on you for actually trying the rope-only route.
