Spent $75 on a ground-penetrating radar rental for a weekend dig

Found a small foundation we would've missed completely with just the shovel probes. Has anyone else tried renting GPR gear for a personal project or is that overkill?

We would've missed it completely" sounds like a lot of things we think we've got figured out until we actually LOOK deeper.

Oh man @davidh88 you hit the nail right on the head. It's like that time my buddy and I were trying to fix a leaky pipe under his sink. We looked at it for an hour, thought we had it all sorted out, then realized we missed a tiny crack that was barely visible. If we hadnt looked closer with a flashlight, we would have flooded his whole kitchen. Its crazy how easy it is to just accept what you see at first glance and call it good. You really have to question everything sometimes.
