Dropped $180 on a 'certified' resume writer in Raleigh and got back the same doc with new fonts
I paid a service $180 two months ago because I kept getting auto-rejected for jobs I was qualified for. The writer sent back my own bullet points with new fonts and a $12 template, and when I asked for the promised rewrite he said revisions cost extra. I rewrote it myself in one evening, used plain words for my job duties, and got 3 callbacks in a week. The kicker is the free version of his own site's checker flagged my old resume as fine. Has anyone here paid for a resume service and gotten real value, or is this just how they all work?
