Rant: blew $650 on a "certified" SEO audit from a guy in Chicago and all I got was a 40 page PDF
I run a small landscaping site out of my garage in Boise and I wanted to rank for "tree trimming" so I paid this guy $650 last March. The PDF he sent had 40 pages but 35 of them were just screenshots of my pages with red circles and the words "improve this" written under them. He also told me to buy 20 guest posts from his partner site for another $400 which I did not do. I would have been better off watching free YouTube videos for a weekend and just fixing my title tags myself. Has anyone actually paid for one of these audits and gotten real steps you could do without hiring a whole agency?
